Abstract
The term of photographic superimposition has been applied for a number of techniques in forensic medicine and dentistry. The eomparison of an antemortem photograph to that of a skull is one such procedure. Technical information and potential sources of difficulty are discussed. Finally, two cases illustrate the use and misuse of this technique in arriving at a positive identification.
